OMK Participation

At the end of 2018, we took it upon ourselves to organise the charity event ‘From a Christmas Tree to the World’, which takes place annually at the Research Institute of Children's Oncology and Haematology at the N.N. Blokhin Russian Oncology and Haematology Research Centre. Here's what happened during the week of the holiday:

- Landscape company ARTEZA planted and decorated a 7-metre Christmas tree
- Pyotr Nalich together with children painted mini versions of his famous guitar. The colours were provided by Daria Gayler's workshop ⠀
- Children together with Ilya Yudovich went beyond the boundary of reality thanks to 3D glasses at the Virtual Animation masterclass
- Folded origami and coloured wooden birds together with Musya Totibadze. Materials were provided by Osmo Russia - Official Distributor of Osmo Holz und Color GmbH in Russia and CIS.
- Pavel Novikov and Alexander Vasiliev delighted children with live music
- Stylists together with Vivienne Sabo did make-up for mums and presented gifts.
- Fanny Bell's House Theatre made ‘friends’ out of socks together with children and showed the performance ‘Father Frost and the Magic Sock’.
- Taisiya Vilkova, Tata Bondarchuk, Lisa Yankovskaya, Evgeniya Afonskaya, Anya Zaikova, Ilona Gayshun, Ksenia Shcherbakova, Pavel Seplyarsky, Nika Sergeyeva, Philip Ershov, Maria Tukhar, Alexandra Vinogradova, Grigory Danziger and Danila Steklov presented gifts to the children prepared by students of School 2128.
Yuri Norshtein, the creator of ‘Hedgehog in the Fog’, signed his books for the children, coming up with an original signature for each one.
- The author's theatre ‘Sketches in Space’ ended the festive week with a performance outside around the lush Christmas tree.

I can't believe it all fit into such a short period of time. But it did. We are happy to have made our contribution and without false modesty we are proud of the result! We thank the OMK Participation Foundation for the opportunity to give New Year magic and positive emotions to young patients.
